There is at least one opposing coach who thinks Jeff Teague should be an All-Star.

The Pacers’ Frank Vogel saw it up close again Monday night – as if the playoffs seven months ago weren’t enough.

“The fact Jeff Teague has never been an All-Star is puzzling to me because he’s certainly an All-Star-caliber player,” Vogel told the Indianapolis Star. “I’m sure he’ll be there this year, with their record being what it is.”

Teague scored 21 points on 8 of 11 shooting in the Hawks’ 108-92 victory. The point guard added seven assists and three steals and was a plus-20.

Vogel and the Pacers know all too well how Teague played against them in the playoffs last season. The top-seeded Pacers had all they could handle from the Hawks who pushed the series to seven games. Teague averaged 19.3 points and 5.0 assists in the series. The Pacers had to put their All-Star Paul George on Teague defensively.

Teague currently leads the 14-6 Hawks in scoring at 17.5 points a game, 32nd in the league. He is also averaging 7.1 assists (eighth in the NBA), 2.4 rebounds and 1.6 steals (tied for 14th behind league-leader and teammate Paul Millsap) a game.
