By the end of the third quarter, they were shooting 61 percent (37 of 61) from the field, including 55 percent (12 of 22) from 3-point range. The Nuggets led by as many as 34 points in the rout. Danilo Gallinari led the Nuggets with 23 points, 18 in the first half. Kyle Korver had 18 points for the Hawks, including 5 of 7 from 3-point range. He moved past Kobe Bryant into 12th place on the NBA's all-time list.
Turning point: The Nuggets opened the second quarter on a 23-8 run to blow open the game and 24-point lead, 54-30. It would get worse.
