- New Hawk guard Kirk Hinrich could make his first appearance at Philips Arena, his sore calf pending. It's the Hawks' first home game in nearly 2 1/2 weeks.
- This will be the Hawks' first of three games against the Bulls this year. The Hawks have played every team in the NBA this season except Chicago.
- The Bulls have won four of their last five on the road. The Hawks lost their last two at home before their seven-game road swing.
- For the Hawks, forward Josh Smith (knee sprain) and Hinrich (sore calf) are day-to-day. Going into their Monday game against Washington, the Bulls had no one on the injured list.
