Paul Millsap will play through some pain as he returns from a left hip injury that cost the Hawks leading scorer three games.

Millsap returned from the absence and led the Hawks with 24 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals in 39 minutes in Monday’s 102-99 loss to the Thunder.

“It’s sore,” Millsap said after practice Tuesday. “It’s something that probably will have to be dealt with. By that I mean just playing through and see what happens. Hopefully, getting better.”

The Hawks listed Millsap as probable for Wednesday’s game against the Heat, an upgrade from questionable as he was previously listed. Millsap suffered the injury in a fall against the Jazz. He played the next two games before missing the three in a row.

“It’s something we’ll do our best to stay on top of and make sure he’s feeling well and thinking of the big picture at the same time,” Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said.

Kent Bazemore did not take part in practice on Tuesday. Budenholzer said he received extra treatment.

“The normal he gets beat up a little bit playing,” Budenholzer said. “He did lifting and body-type work. I’m not anticipating anything. He plays hard and gets banged around.”
