The Hawks have been the model of inconsistency over the past 10 games. Starting with the final game of a three-game losing streak the Hawks have alternated losses and wins.

The Hawks have not won back-to-back games since Nov. 7 – more than a month ago.

The Hawks are coming off a 100-87 win over the Lakers on Friday that preceded four days without a game.

Hawks power forward Paul Millsap said he feels the team is on the verge of a needed win streak.

“We are still looking for (consistency),” Millsap said Tuesday before the Hawks departed for Wednesday’s game at the Mavericks. “There is the feeling that we are right there. It could take off at any given time. We’ve just got to get out there and do it. I think sitting back waiting on it, it’s probably not going to happen. We’ve got to go out there and take it and do it ourselves.”
