Jeff Teague is day-to-day with the left ankle sprain that cost him the past two games. The Hawks’ starting point guard will travel with the team to Philadelphia for Friday night’s game against the 76ers.

Teague went through at least part of the Hawks’ practice Thursday.

“I’m feeling pretty good,” Teague said. “… I’m trying to get better. I’ve been icing it and doing all the treatment. I got a chance to get out here on the floor (in practice) and get up and down, but I’m still day-to-day right now.”

Teague said the injury is a low sprain, not the more-serious high sprain. He said it is similar to the one that cost him one game last season. He knew immediately this injury was “more serious.”

Teague was injured last week against the Spurs. He said he came down on the back of Tim Duncan’s heel while contesting a shot.

“It was like a sniper got me from the upper deck,” Teague said.

Coach Mike Budenholzer said a decision will be made Friday on Teague’s playing status against the 76ers based on the progress he makes until game time.

Game rescheduled: The Hawks' postponed game against the Pistons will be played at 7:30 p.m. April 8, the NBA announced Thursday.

The game, originally scheduled for Wednesday, was postponed because of the inclement weather that wreaked havoc on metro Atlanta.

The Hawks host the Celtics on April 9, giving them a league-high 21 back-to-back games this season. The makeup date coincides with the Braves’ 2014 season home opener against the Mets.

The change means the Hawks will play six of their final nine games at home.

Fans who had tickets for the game Wednesday may use them for the makeup game.

Nunnally contact nears end: The second 10-day contract for forward James Nunnally expires Saturday before the Hawks host the Timberwolves in the finale of a back-to-back that begins Friday at the 76ers.

The Hawks must sign Nunnally for the rest of the season or cut ties with him. The Hawks currently have the maximum of 15 players on the roster, but are without Al Horford (right pectoral surgery), John Jenkins (lower back) and Pero Antic (right ankle stress fracture). Horford is out for the season. Jenkins likely will miss the remainder of the season after he undergoes back surgery, which he is seriously considering and most likely will have. Antic is one week into a two-to-four week timetable for his injury.

Celebration planned: The Hawks will celebrate Black History Month in February by honoring influential African-Americans who have made significant contributions to the Atlanta community. The honorees will be recognized during six home games at Philips Arena. The honorees are:

The Urban Youth Harp Ensemble. The group provides harp instruction to at-risk students in Atlanta Public Schools and will be recognized Feb. 1 against the Timberwolves.

Ernest Greer. The lawyer and Georgia Chamber of Commerce chairman will be honored Feb. 4 against the Pacers.

Hill Harper. The humanitarian, actor, author and health ambassador will be recognized Feb. 8 against the Grizzlies.

Black Girls RUN! The blog that grew into a nationwide movement to encourage black women to live active lifestyles will be honored Feb. 19 against the Wizards.

Dr. C.T. Vivian. The civil-rights leader, who consulted with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., will be recognized Feb. 22 against the Knicks.

Scarlet Pressley-Brown. She has worked with the National Center for Civil and Human Rights and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference Women, among many entities, and will be honored Feb. 25 against the Bulls. She will be recognized as a Hawks Trailblazer Honoree.
