The NBA Finals completed a strong showing on Atlanta TV by delivering a 21.3 rating locally for Cleveland’s Game 7 victory over Golden State on Sunday night.

That was the largest audience of the series in the Atlanta market after ABC’s telecasts of the first six games drew ratings ranging from 15.6 to 19.1 here.

The Atlanta rating for each of the seven games was among the eight highest in the nation and among the four highest outside the states of the participating teams.

By comparison, telecasts of Hawks regular-season games averaged a 1.2 rating in the Atlanta market.

The ratings represent the percentage of the market’s homes with TVs tuned to a program.
