The Hawks’ Zac Walsh has been named the NBA’s Equipment Manager of the Year.

Walsh was named the recipient of the NBAEMA (National Basketball Athletic Equipment Managers Association) David “D.H.” Nordstrom Equipment Manager of the Year award at a recent meeting in Chicago. The award is voted on by the league’s 30 equipment managers. It recognizes the individual that goes above and beyond the call of duty on and off the court and represents an equipment manager in the most professional and positive way.

Walsh has spent 12 seasons with the Hawks, the last eight as the team’s travel and equipment manager.

“Zac is well-respected in our field and seen as a leader and an example of how to do the job and maintain positive professionalism,” said Scott Rego, the 76ers equipment manager and past president of the NBAEMA. “As a group, we are very lucky to have Zac as a high-ranking member in our association.”
