The Hawks transferred two-way player Alex Poythress to the Erie BayHawks of the NBA G League Monday.

The forward has missed the past 13 games due to a left ankle injury. The move means Poythress is nearing a return from the injury.

Poythress appeared in 13 games with the Hawks this season, including one start, and averaged 5.0 points and 3.8 rebounds in 15.0 minutes.
