The Hawks will celebrate Black History Month in February by honoring influential African-Americans who have made significant contributions to the Atlanta community. The honorees will be recognized during six home games at Philips Arena.

The honorees are:

The Urban Youth Harp Ensemble: The group provides harp instruction to at-risk students in Atlanta Public Schools and will be recognized on Feb.1 against the Timberwolves.

Ernest Greer: The lawyer and Georgie Chamber of Commerce chairman will be honored on Feb. 4 against the Pacers.

Hill Harper: The humanitarian, actor, author and health ambassador will be recognized on Feb. 8 against the Grizzlies.

Black Girls RUN!: The blog that grew into a nationwide movement to encourage African-American women to live active lifestyles will be honored on Feb. 19 against the Wizards.

Dr. C.T. Vivian: The civil rights leader, who consulted with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., will be recognized Feb. 22 against the Knicks.

Scarlet Pressley-Brown: She has worked with the National Center for Civil and Human rights and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference Women among many entities and will be honored Feb. 25 against the Bulls. She will be recognized as a Hawks Trailblazer Honoree.
