The Hawks return to Atlanta with a winning road trip - but it ended on a sour note.
A five-game road trip ended with the Hawks falling to the Raptors 104-96 Thursday night at Air Canada Center. The Hawks finished the trip 3-2 after losing a back-and-forth game.
The Hawks (36-29) had a three-game win streak end as they fell into a fifth place tie with the idle Hornets in the Eastern Conference. It was the second loss in the past seven games for the Hawks. They are 0-2 against the Raptors this season.
Al Horford led the Hawks with 20 points, including three 3-pointers. Kent Bazemore added 13 points.
The Raptors (43-20) have won two straight and four of their past five games as they chase the Cavaliers for the top spot in the conference. The Raptors opened the fourth quarter with three straight 3-pointers to break open a game they led by six points headed into the final period. They would lead by as many as 12 points in the final four minutes to put the game away. DeMar DeRozan finished with a game-high 30 points and Luis Scola and Jonas Valanciunas each had double-doubles.
The Hawks next play back-to-back home games against the Grizzlies and Pacers on Saturday and Sunday.
