The Hawks will open play in the Las Vegas Summer League on July 6 against the Bucks in the first of four preliminary games.

The schedule is as follows:

July 6 vs. Bucks, 5 p.m., NBA TV

July 7 vs. Timberwolves, 5:30 p.m., ESPN2

July 9 vs. Pacers, 5:30 p.m., NBA TV

July 11 vs Wizards, 6:30 p.m., ESPN2

Following the preliminary games, the top eight teams will be seeded in a tournament that culminates in a championship game July 15. Teams that do not qualify will play a consolation game.

All 30 NBA teams plus the Chinese and Croatian national teams will participate. All 83 games will be televised by NBA TV, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU.

The Hawks team will feature Omari Spellman, Jaylen Adams and recently added two-way player Charlie Brown. The Hawks will be without their draft picks for some games. Cam Reddish will not play as he recovers from core muscle surgery. De’Andre Hunter and Bruno Fernando won’t officially be Hawks until July 6 at the earliest. They could play at some point after their pending trades are complete.

The Las Vegas Summer League kicks off with a game that includes two of the top three picks in the draft and former Duke teammates Zion Williamson and R.J. Barrett. Williamson and the Pelicans face Barrett and the Knicks at 9:30 p.m. July 5 on ESPN.
