Hawks forward Paul Millsap is 13th among frontcourt players in the first NBA All-Star voting results released by the league Thursday. Millsap, who was named a reserve for the Eastern Conference in his first season with the Hawks last year, has received 21,545 votes.
No other Hawks player is in the top 15 among front court players nor the top 10 in backcourt players.
The Cavaliers’ LeBron James leads all vote-getters with 552,967 votes in the Eastern Conference. The Warriors’ Stephen Curry leads the balloting in the Western Conference with 549,095 votes.
The starters in the Eastern Conference are currently James, Carmelo Anthony, Pau Gasol, John Wall and Dwyane Wade.
The starters in the Western Conference are currently Curry, Kobe Bryant, Anthony Davis, Blake Griffin and Marc Gasol.
Balloting concludes on Jan. 19. Starters will be announced live on TNT Jan. 22. Reserves will be named at a later date.
This year’s All-Star game will be played on Feb. 15 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
