What they said after the Hawks’ 103-100 win over the Magic Sunday:

"Coming into Orlando, who has been playing really well at home, and finding a way to win a game that went back-and-forth with a couple big runs both ways. We made some shots in the second half. Obviously Kyle Korver hit big shots. Defensively, we got stops after a third quarter where we weren't very good defensively. This is a good win for us." – Coach Mike Budenholzer's opening statement

"We were probably a little bit smarter and a little bit more aggressive. If you can be both of those things, hopefully, that helps you have a good defensive quarter. I think the guys executed really well. They kept people in front of them better and took care of the glass better, made it tough on (Nik) Vucevic and we were able to have a really good second quarter. It may have been what did it for us tonight." – Budenholzer on Hawks' second-quarter defense

"I think the bench was really good. Mike (Scott) made some big shots and made some big plays. I thought his defense was good. Actually watching the film of the Boston game I thought Mike's defense was very good. Then Thabo (Sefolosha) is always good defensively. And he gets the and-one and makes a couple plays. Dennis (Schroder) is finding Kyle (Korver) on the perimeter, got his teammates involved and was very good defensively. I think Tiago (Splitter) is a presence in the paint. Hopefully that second group can have a little bit of a defensive identity. Lamar (Patterson) did some subtle things too – the pass to Kyle in the 3 in the corner. That's what you need. You need all 10 guys to win a game on the road." – Budenholzer on bench play

"He's done it some actually. His length and maybe give him a little cushion and stay between him and the basket and have Jeff (Teague) chase (Evan) Fournier off screens. Fournier has been a big problem for us. We wanted to try something different. Kyle has done it. The few times we've done it, he's done well. He understands the concept of what we want to do." – Budenholzer on guarding Magic point guard Elfrid Payton

"They are a big shift team. They really try to protect the paint. Jeff made a great move to get under the basket and get the defense to collapse. It was a tough little pass. There was a small angle but he kicked it out. It didn't really feel that good. I'm glad it went in." – Kyle Korver on game-winning 3-pointer

"For a little while I felt good. I got a bunch of looks in a row and they were decent looks, probably the cleanest looks I've gotten all year for sure. Just keep on trying to find it." – Korver on 6 of 8 3-point shooting

"Where he is most effective is when he gets into the paint and the low-post shots and making plays for teammates. The mindset was just to put a little more length on him and try to make him shoot those little jump shots. He's capable of making some but we felt like we would try to make it hard on him by putting a little more length on him. Now I can be free to shift off him too." – Korver on guarding Payton

"It's been different. You see an effort that wasn't there prior to these last few games. Guys doing things right, trying to make the right play. When you try to make the right play, good things will happen." – Paul Millsap on difference in Hawks during three-game win streak

"We came out a little lax. If I can put my finger on it, we eased off the gas. A team like that, they are going to keep coming regardless of what is going on. We just took our foot off the game just for that slight minute and they got back in the game." – Millsap on Magic 16-0 third-quarter run

"They were shifting heavy all night. The first time I drove, I saw him in the corner but the ball didn't do what I wanted it to and I turned it over. I knew going down the stretch if I drove baseline he would be open. They did it two plays before that. I knew if I drove baseline I could get it to Kyle if he drifted. He did it." – Jeff Teague on assist for Korver's game-winner

"We are just competing. It's a long season. Guys were out with injuries. Guys getting back healthy. Off-season surgeries. The whole task we had. Now we are starting to get in a little groove. The way we are competing is just better." – Teague on pulling out recent wins

"I think we are just playing better. It's a long season. I feel like now we are finally getting acclimated with everything that coach wants us to do with each other. We feel good about how we are playing right now." – Al Horford on recent winning streak
