Hawks to host free public scrimmage

The Hawks will hold a free public scrimmage at Philips Arena on Oct. 1 as part of training camp for the 2016-17 season. The event will begin at 10 a.m. with Hawks coaches directing players through warmups and drills before the main event.

Arena doors will open at 9:15 a.m. Fans are asked to RSVP at www.nba.com/hawks/2016-17-open-practice-rsvp-general-public.

New team merchandise will be available for purchase and there will be fan activity stations on the concourse.
