Hawks radio voice Steve Holman won the Gabby Award for Best Sports Play-by-Play Broadcast at the Georgia Association of Broadcasters annual ceremony last weekend.
Holman also won the award in 2015.
“Steve Holman is a beloved broadcaster not only in Atlanta, but by his peers across the country,” Terry Foxx, Program Director of Hawks’ flag ship station 92.9 FM, said in a statement. “We are very proud to have him and the Atlanta Hawks as a part of our family.”
Holman has broadcast more than 2,500 Hakes games in his tenure with the team, including a current streak of 2,329 consecutive regular-season and playoff games.
