The aggressive Jeff Teague was on full display Tuesday night.

The Hawks point guard scored a career- and game-high 34 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, and Paul Millsap had a triple-double in a 118-113 overtime victory over the Raptors at Philips Arena.

DeMarre Carroll scored on a back-door cut to give the Hawks a 111-109 lead after Pero Antic and John Salmons traded 3-pointers to start the extra period. Kyle Korver hit a free throw after an off-the-ball foul with 14.6 seconds and Teague hit two free throws with 14.1 seconds left to ice it. He added two more free throws in between Raptors baskets.

Teague scored nine straight fourth-quarter points before Korver hit a 3-pointer with 1:26 left to give the Hawks a 106-104 lead. The score remained until Kyle Lowry drove for a layup to tie the game with 8.1 seconds left. Millsap missed an isolation play at the end of regulation to force overtime.

The Hawks (31-35, 20-11 home) won their season-high fifth straight game. They hadn’t won five straight since the first month on last season. They won six in a row Nov. 16-28 as part of a 20-10 run to start the 2012-13 campaign.

The Hawks are now just one game behind Bobcats for seventh spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race. They are 4-1/2 games up on the Knicks in the eighth spot.

Millsap had his first career triple-double of 19 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. Korver finished with 16 points.

The Raptors (37-29, 17-16 road) lost their second straight. DeMar DeRozan, who scored 31 points in each of the previous two meetings, led the Raptors with 29 points. He entered the game ninth in the NBA in scoring at 22.5 points per game.

The Hawks took an 80-78 lead into the fourth quarter after a back-and-forth third. They shot 67 percent (12 of 18) in the quarter to set up the dramatic ending.

The Raptors opened fast and built a 13-point first-quarter lead. It was clear the Raptors were waiting in Atlanta while the Hawks played at the Bobcats Monday. The Hawks trailed 22-9 as the made just three of their first 17 shots from the field.

The Hawks used an 11-0 run between the first and second quarters pull within one point. They used a 21-8 run, as Teague scored 12 points, to build a five-point advantage, 49-44. The Raptors answered with five straight points to end the second quarter, including a 3-pointer from Steve Novak, and the teams went to intermission tied at 49-49.

Several injuries occurred in the game Carroll left in the first quarter to receive four stitches for a right eye laceration caused by an elbow. He returned in the second quarter. The Hawks lost guard Dennis Schroder to a left ankle sprain in the fourth quarter. The Raptors lost center Jonas Valanciunas, who had 16 points, in the fourth quarter with a lower back sprain.

The Hawks host the Pelicans Friday.
