The Hawks assigned DeAndre Bembry to the NBA Development League for a second time. The rookie guard/forward will play for the Salt Lake City Stars via the flexible assignment rule.

Bembry will play Sunday when the Stars, the affiliate of the Jazz, play at the Sioux Falls Skyforce at 6 p.m. (ET). He will then return to the Hawks. Bembry remained in Milwaukee following the Hawks’ 114-110 win over the Bucks before he departed for Sioux Falls.

It will be the second one-game D-League stint for Bembry. He also played for the Stars on Dec. 2 and in a game at the Los Angeles D-Fender and had a game-high 35 points. Bembry was 16 of 22 from the field with six rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block in 35 minutes.

The Hawks often assign young players to the D-League to continue their player development.
