A brief recap of the Hawks’ slow-to-develop rout of the 76ers, which cemented the team’s first eight-game winning streak in about 17 years:
How the game was won: Kyle Korver and Paul Millsap scored 17 points each, and the Hawks kept the defensive pressure on while toying with the woebegone 76ers for about three quarters before stretching it out near the end.
DeMarre Carroll added 14 points and a season-high 11 rebounds, and reserve big man Mike Muscala added 12 points and seven rebounds as Atlanta (15-6) eventually made easy work of Philadelphia (2-19)
Turning point: Al Horford dunked for the first points of the game, and the Hawks never trailed nor were tied from that point.
Number: 10. The Hawks made 10-of-30 3-pointers, the sixth time in seven games they've hit double-digits in 3-pointers. Korver made 5-of-7.
Next: The Hawks will play back-to-back games against the Magic, Friday in Philips Arena and then Saturday in Orlando, before a home game Monday against the Bulls.
