Tim Hardaway Jr., acquired by the Hawks from the Knicks in a draft-night trade Thursday, was introduced with a press conference Monday in Atlanta.

Here is his answer to a question about his reaction to the deal:

“I wasn’t ready but at the same time anything can happen in those situations,” Hardaway Jr. said. “When I got the call, at the same time I was shocked and at the same time I was happy. I think it was best for myself and the organization of the New York Knicks just to move on. Like I said, I’m happy to be a part of this. I can’t wait to get to work.”
