The Hawks’ Tim Hardaway Jr. lost his shoe for a brief moment during Saturday’s win over the Rockets.

The guard simply picked up his shoe, got back on defense, switched the shoe into his other hand and guarded the Rockets’ Michael Beasley on a drive to the basket.

Hardaway laughed about the play when asked about it Monday, recalling he thought he lost the shoe after stepping a teammate. Nonetheless, he had to keep going.

“They were bringing the ball down the court,” Hardaway said. “I had no choice. I couldn’t put my shoe back on in the middle of the play. I just had to do something. I stayed in front of him even though he made a tough shot.”

Beasley indeed scored on the drive and Hardaway quickly put his shoe back on and got down the court on offense.
