What they said after the Hawks’ 95-83 win over the Grizzlies Saturday night:

"It was a little bit of a strange game. We got down early in the second quarter, just proud of the group in getting themselves right. Defensively, we were pretty good for most of the game. Offensively, I thought the ball movement, especially the second half, was good. Different guys stepped up and played well. It was a good win coming off the road trip." – Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer's opening statement

"We were up 18-14 at the three-minute timeout. We had a poor finish to the quarter. I put Jeff back in to change the mix a little bit. Kirk has been working hard in practice. Kirk is a pro. We feel like Kirk is going to help us. I think tonight was just one of those opportunities. At the end of the day, you are going to need your whole roster. You are going to need everyone confident and ready to play. We went with Kirk to give Jeff a break. Then we went with him again in the second half." – Budenholzer on playing Kirk Hinrich over Dennis Schroder

"Credit to Memphis for how well they've been playing for what seems like a long time with (injuries), starting with Marc Gasol and more since then. I think Dave Joerger and his staff, the way they are competing and fighting every night. They had an overtime game last night. I don't know if they wore down or not but at some point we were able to get some separation and both ends of the court played well enough." – Budenholzer on whether Hawks wore down Grizzlies

"I though Thabo was great. We rode him a long time there. He basically never came out until the last two or three minutes. He made a lot of plays on both ends. His length. He had a blocked shot. He can have a big impact on the game." – Budenholzer on play of Thabo Sefolosha

“I think we picked our energy up, got some stops and some easy baskets.” - Kirk Hinrich on difference in game

"I enjoyed it. I'm glad we were able to win tonight. We've got another big one tomorrow night with a weird time change and a back-to-back." – Hinrich on his extended playing time

"Everybody wants to play. It's kind of new to me. I wanted to make sure I was doing the things I needed to do to be ready. It's hard because I'm used to playing. You have to make sure you get your court work and your conditioning. I was a little surprised I got the call tonight but I enjoyed being out there." – Hinrich on frustration of not playing

"I think the way we finished the second quarter was huge. Just to make that push, I think we finished plus-10. The starters did a great job of giving us a push at the end." – Thabo Sefolosha on win

"I think it was the defense, feeding off the defense. We were playing with good hands and we were able to get some steals and fast breaks." – Sefolosha on double-double

"Well, I don't remember." – Sefolosha on reverse dunk

"Yeah, of course. You go out west and we were 3-2. If you go out and lay an egg, you come back and look at the standings, it would be pretty tough. You have to make sure you take care of home court and when you are on the road every night put yourself in a position to win the game. Win the games you are supposed to win, really. That's the position we are in now." – Kris Humphries on standings

"They play hard. They are missing a lot of guys but they play hard as a team. I think we did a good job of not underestimating them and played hard as well." – Jeff Teague on win

"They are the next on the list. We have to take care of them. They've been beating some good times. They've been playing well. We knew we couldn't take them lightly. We'll take the win." – Horford on beating injury-depleted Grizzlies

"That was a hard game. We played our tails off. Sometimes it's not pretty but we're going out there and competing. We gave ourselves a real chance, playing a really good team that's well-coached and won 60 games last year. It was one of those night." – Grizzlies coach Dave Joerger on loss
