Atlanta Hawks radio play-by-play announcer Steve Holman will be honored by the Georgia State House of Representatives on the House floor on Monday, March 23 at approximately 10:30 a.m. after meeting with Gov. Nathan Deal.

House Resolution 308 will recognize Holman for being named the 2014 Georgia Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA) and for the exceptional work he has done in his 30-year career.

A 2011 Georgia Radio Hall of Fame inductee, Holman has never missed a broadcast, a span of nearly 2,500 games, including the last 2,207 in-a-row (regular season and playoffs). The “Voice of the Hawks” has won numerous awards for sports reporting throughout his career, including the Georgia Associated Press Award for his Hawks coverage.
