NBA playoffs: Hawks-Wizards open Sunday, Game 3 in Atlanta April 22

Game 1 of the Hawks-Wizards 2016-17 Eastern Conference first-round playoff series will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Verizon Center in Washington.

The game will be televised nationally by TNT. It also will be televised by Fox Sports Southeast and broadcast on 92.9 FM.

“I think we are excited where we are and how we are playing headed into the playoffs,” Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said after a 104-86 loss to the Pacers in the regular-season finale. “A couple days to get prepared and get after it.

The Wizards won the season series with the Hawks 3-1.

Game 1 – Sunday at Washington, 1 p.m., TNT

Game 2 – Wednesday at Washington, 7 p.m., NBA TV

Game 3 – April 22 at Atlanta, 5:30 p.m., TNT

Game 4 – April 24 at Atlanta, 8 p.m., TNT
