Offense: A

The Hawks struggled in the first quarter but that’s where it ended. They put up 74 points in the second and third quarters, just nine points less than the Celtics scored for the game. They had the two impressive runs in the quarters. The Hawks made 14 3-pointers.

Defense: A

The Hawks stymied the Celtics, not allowing more than 23 points in a quarter. The Celtics shot just 37.7 percent from the field and made just seven 3-pointers. The defensive strategy to use Scott as the first big off the bench and to trap Thomas was the difference.
