Former Georgia Tech star Jarrett Jack will miss the remainder of the NBA season after suffering a torn ACL and small meniscus tear Saturday against the Boston Celtics. The injury was initially diagnosed as a small knee sprain.

The Brooklyn Nets point guard averaged 12.8 points, 7.4 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 32 games this season, according to ESPN.

He took to his Instagram account late Saturday night to address the injury:

"Worst pain I've ever felt in my life, but we have our obstacles in life not really sure what the extent of my injury is but I'm already in the mindset of getting back and being stronger than ever. Thanks to everybody for the well wishes and keeping me in their prayers.ill be back soon........."

Jack played at Georgia Tech for three seasons, starting all but one game (senior night). He is one of the most accomplished athletes in school history, reaching top five in career steals and assists during his collegiate career and becoming the sixth player in school history to record 1,000 points and 500 assists.

The 32-year-old is on contract with the Nets through next season.
