Construction (via demolition) underway on Hawks practice facility
Construction on the Hawks’ new practice facility is underway – but first with some demolition.
Several buildings needed to be removed from the property on the site of the future Emory Sports Medicine Complex in Brookhaven. The demolition of those buildings got underway this week, according to the team.
The Hawks held a ground-breaking ceremony on the property in June. The 90,000-square foot facility in partnership between the Hawks and Emory Healthcare will result in a $50 million building scheduled to open in October of 2017.
