The Cleveland Cavaliers are being called tone deaf after promoting a video during last night’s game that some are saying promotes domestic violence.
The skit is supposed to be a humorous take on a scene from “Dirty Dancing” featuring a male Cavs fan and his girlfriend. When she reveals that she’s a Bulls fan, he tosses her to the ground.
Considering the array of domestic violence cases plaguing the NFL and other professional sports leagues recently, sports journalists and fans took to social media to air their disapproval.
The video has since been deleted from the team's official Vimeo account and the Cavaliers organization has issued an apology.
The Cavaliers won last night’s game, 106-91.
