After leaving in the first quarter of the Hawks' loss in Dallas Saturday, rookie Cam Reddish has been diagnosed with a concussion. Reddish took contact to the nose when defending the Mavericks' Dorian Finney-Smith, who was driving to the basket and was not able to return to the game.

Reddish, the team announced Sunday, has been ruled out for the Hawks’ game Monday against the Celtics at State Farm Arena. All-Star Trae Young, who left in the third quarter with a right ankle sprain, is listed as “questionable” on the Hawks’ injury report.

Reddish was initially diagnosed with a face contusion and entered the NBA protocol to determine if he had a concussion. After being reassessed Sunday, Reddish’s concussion was confirmed and he will remain in the league’s protocol.

At this time, it’s not clear how many games Reddish will miss. At the very least, the Hawks — already shorthanded — will have to face the Celtics without of their best defenders.

They've certainly caught the injury bug lately — in addition to Reddish and Young, Alex Len (right hip flexor strain) and Jabari Parker (right shoulder impingement) are both out, leaving the Hawks without much size. De'Andre Hunter (left ankle sprain), who missed Saturday's game, is questionable as is Bruno Fernando (left calf strain), who has missed the past three games.
