The Hawks announced the signing of free agent Jason Richardson on Tuesday night.
The 13-year veteran agreed to a non-guaranteed deal with the team this weekend and a contract was signed Tuesday.
The guard/forward will come to training camp next month.
Richardson has appeared in 857 career regular-season games with the Warriors, Suns, Magic, Hornets and 76ers and averaged 17.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.2 steals in 34.1 minutes. He has also appeared in 37 playoff games.
Richardson, 34, has battled injury most of the previous two seasons. He played 19 games with the 76ers last season after returning of a knee injury and averaged 9.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists. Richardson thanked the 76ers organization and fans via social media Tuesday afternoon. He wrote on Instagram: “I’d like to thank the 76ers organization and fans for a great 3 years. These last 3 years have been the toughest of my career and I was blessed to have an organization and a fan base that supported me on and off the court!”
