Where: Turner Field, Atlanta

When: 7:10 p.m.

TV/Radio: SPSO/680, 93.7, 106.7

Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Julio Teheran (2-1, 4.64) vs. TBA

What's new: The Braves were scheduled to face Max Scherzer, who's off to a great start with the Nationals after signing a $210 million free agent contract. But Nationals manager Matt Williams waited until a few hours before Monday's first pitch to announce what had been surmised all weekend: Scherzer's sore right thumb, jammed during an at-bat Thursday, will cause him to miss a start. Williams did not announce a replacement. They have Tanner Roark in the bullpen but he's not stretched out to start. Or the Nats could turn to A.J. Cole from Triple-A. Scherzer has allowed only four earned runs in four starts for 1 1.26 ERA.
