Max Fried put on quite a show in the opener of the Braves-Nationals series Thursday night at SunTrust Park, pitching seven scoreless one-hit innings in Atlanta’s 4-2 win. It was Fried’s best performance of a breakout season. Here’s a by-the-numbers look at the 25-year-old left-hander’s success: 

16: Fried's wins this season, tying him with Thursday's opposing pitcher, Stephen Strasburg, for the National League lead.

16-4, 3.86: Fried's record and ERA for the season.

7-0, 3.02: Fried's record and ERA since the All-Star break (nine starts, 50-2/3 innings, 45 hits, 62 strikeouts, 13 walks, .234 opponents' batting average).

2: Games, out of 36 career starts, in which Fried has completed seven innings – May 1 vs. the Padres (one run, four hits, no walks, seven strikeouts) and Thursday vs. the Nationals (no runs, one hit, no walks, nine strikeouts).

19: Consecutive hitters retired by Fried on Thursday after allowing his only baserunner of the night on a two-out infield single in the first inning.
