A struggling Ronald Acuna will get a breather as the Braves (82-54) face the Chicago White Sox (60-74) Saturday night at SunTrust Park, with second baseman Ozzie Albies batting leadoff in Acuna’s stead.

Acuna, who has slashed .125/.222/.188 over the past seven games (.180/.286/.328 over the past 15 games) and went 0-for-5 in the Braves’ 10-7 win vs. the White Sox Friday, is not in the lineup but is available off the bench, according to Braves manager Brian Snitker.

“He’s been struggling a little bit, we just wanted to give him a (break),” Snitker said. “Just kind of relax mentally, physically and watch a little bit. … Hopefully we need him through the course of the game, but we just wanted him to come to the ballpark knowing he wasn’t going to play today.”

The Braves hope giving Acuna a little time to rest can help revitalize the 21-year-old outfielder, who has cooled off from his usually torrid offensive pace.

In the meantime, Snitker has confidence in Albies, who had his first multi-hit game since Aug. 10 in Friday’s win, going 4-for-5 with one RBI.

“It’s nice that when we don’t have Ronald, we have an option,” Snitker said. “And it’s a very viable option… (Albies has) filled that role before and we’re fortunate to have somebody that capable of (doing) that.”

Without Acuna in the mix, Rafael Ortega is in left field, Billy Hamilton is in center field and Matt Joyce is in right field.
