How the winning run scored: With one out in the bottom of the fifth inning, Rochester's Drew Butera delivered a three-run homer to give the Red Wings a 9-4 lead over visiting Gwinnett on Friday night.

At the plate: Gwinnett's Stefan Gartrell and Jose Yepez each was 3-for-5. Yepez drove in five runs, and Gartrell scored two. Teammates Tyler Pastornicky and Todd Cunningham each had two hits. Pastornicky has seven multihit games in his past eight. He's hitting .412 in that stretch. Joey Terdoslavich had one hit, his 13th homer of the season. Dan Rohlfing was 4-for-4 for Rochester.

On the mound: Gwinnett starter Yohan Flande (3-6) was rocked for eight runs on 10 hits and four walks in 4 1/3 innings.

Up next for Gwinnett: The G-Braves (28-41) and the Red Wings (32-36) continue their series at 7:05 p.m. Saturday in Rochester. Gwinnett plans to start right-hander David Hale (1-3, 6.12 ERA) against righty Kyle Gibson (6-5, 3.16).
