WASHINGTON — A couple of weeks after Ervin Santana joins the starting rotation, and Braves expect to further bolster that unit by bringing left-hander Mike Minor off the disabled list for his debut April 23 or April 25 (the Braves are off April 24).

Minor had shoulder tendinitis in the first week of spring training, after not being able to throw in January following urinary-tract surgery. He is expected to make three more minor-league rehab starts before joining the Braves for a home start against Miami on April 23 or against Cincinnati on April 25.

The Braves are expected to move one of their current starters to the bullpen or Triple-A when Minor comes off the DL. And they’ll probably have to make another similar move a week or two later when veteran Gavin Floyd is expected to join the rotation. He’s on the DL continuing his rehab from May 2013 Tommy John surgery.

Santana is set to make his Braves debut Wednesday with a start against the Mets. The former All-Star missed the first weeks of spring training before signing with the Braves on March 12.
