Mallex Smith batting leadoff for Braves tonight
Mallex Smith had four hits a game for the Gwinnett Braves Saturday night.
As expected, the Braves called up center fielder Mallex Smith and he will bat leadoff in Monday night's series opener against the Nationals in Washington.
The 22-year-old Smith will replace Ender Inciarte, who is on the 15-day disabled list due to a left hamstring strain.
The game is scheduled to start at 7:05 and will be televised by Fox Sports South.
The Braves are 0-5. The Nationals are 3-1.
