In the 24 hours after the 2017 season ended, the Braves were thrown into turmoil when general manager John Coppolella announced his resignation amid a baseball investigation into team practices in the international market.

David O'Brien, the longtime Atlanta Braves beat writer for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, recently sat in on the We Never Played the Game podcast -- hosted by WSB-TV Sports Director Zach Klein and AJC columnist Jeff Schultz -- to discuss what led to the investigation and what's next for Atlanta's MLB franchise.
