How the winning run scored: Game 1 — Luis Nunez led off the second with a single to left, went to second on a sacrifice bunt and third on a throwing error on the play and scored the winning run on a two-out ground out to third. Game 2 - Chris Rahl hit a two out single to left in the first, stole second and moved to third on a throwing error before scoring the game's only run on a single to right.

At the plate: Game 1 - Stefan Gartrell had four of the Braves five RBI, a three run homer in the fifth and an RBI in the first when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Game 2 - Braves were held to six hits, all singles, two each by Brandon Boggs and Jose Yepez.

On the mound: Game 1 - Braves starter Cody Martin (2-0, .064 ERA) got the seven-inning complete game win. Game 2 - Three Braves pitchers combined to hold the Chiefs to one run in the second game but unlike in the first game it was one too many. Starter Kameron Loe (2-2, 3.47 ERA) who in the first gave up the game's only run took the loss.

What's next for the GBraves: After ending a six game winning streak with the loss to the Chiefs (29-46), the Braves (34-45) have a day off Monday before completing the homestand with four games against the Buffalo Bison (39-36) who beat the Durham Bulls (47-30) 1-0 in 14 innings Sunday.
