Former Braves pitcher Charlie Morton, now with the Phillies, is out for the season because of a torn left hamstring.

Morton, 32, was injured while running out of the batter's box after a bunt on Saturday.

The Braves traded Morton to the Pirates in 2009 in a deal that brought center fielder Nate McLouth to Atlanta.

Morton, who went 4-8 for the 2008 Braves, has gone 42-63 in the majors since the trade. He is 1-1 with a 4.15 ERA in four starts this season.
