Former Braves catcher David Ross's 15th and final season in the majors is already a memorable one.

Ross had a key role in Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta's no-hitter Thursday night. Arrieta shut down the Reds in a 16-0 rout in Cincinnati for his second career no-hitter.

Ross caught the whole game and hit a home run, scored three runs, and had two hits.

Another former Braves player, right fielder Jason Heyward, had two hits, scored two runs and caught a fly ball for the final out.

Arrieta (4-0) struck out six, walked four and allowed only six balls hit out of the infield. He threw 119 pitches, retiring the Reds' Eugenio Suarez on a routine flyball to Heyward to end it and start the celebration.
