Ender Inciarte hasn’t resumed baseball activities

7 thing you may not know about Ender Inciarte.

Braves outfielder Ender Inciarte hasn't resumed baseball activities since being sidelined with a lumbar strain on May 15.

The 28-year-old Inciarte is still experiencing back tightness as he rehabs in Atlanta, manager Brian Snitker said. He was adamant the team wouldn’t rush Inciarte’s recovery process.

“(His back is) stiff,” Snitker said. “He’s getting worked on and rehabbing every day with the guys back in Atlanta. But it’s still biting him a little bit. So it’s just one of those things. You can’t rush anything like that. When everything has calmed down, he’ll start doing baseball stuff again.”

Inciarte, a multi-time gold glover, is hitting .218 this season. His injury opened the door for slugging prospect Austin Riley, who’s hit .409 and knocked three homers in six games. It’s obviously too early to speculate how the Braves will handle that situation, especially with Inciarte not close to returning.

“He won’t been able to do anything until the (back soreness) calms down,” Snitker said.
