Lucas Sims allowed just one run in five innings as the Gwinnett Braves beat the Norfolk Tides 4-2 on Friday night at Coolray Field.

Sims (2-5) struck out seven and threw 48 of 83 pitches for strikes to earn his first home win and send the G-Braves to their third straight victory following a seven-game losing streak.

Ozzie Albies started a three-run rally in the third inning with a two-run triple and Emilio Bonifacio had a sacrifice fly for Gwinnett (28-34).

Sims picked up his second win in his last four starts. He has a 6.80 ERA.

Matt Tuiasosopo hit his eighth home run for Gwinnett.
