Aaron Blair has good outing but Gwinnett loses

Sept 9, 2016Aaron Blair allowed two runs and five hits in six innings but the Gwinnett Braves lost to the host Columbus Clippers 6-4 in the Triple-A playoffs Thursday night.
The best-of-five Governors’ Cup semifinal series is tied 1-1 and the teams come to Lawrenceville for the next three games.
Blair allowed a Michael Choice sacrifice fly in the first inning and a Yan Gomes solo home run in the third inning.
Blair walked four and struck out six.
Emilio Bonifacio finished 3-for-5 with an RBI for Gwinnett, while Blake Lalli went 3-for-4 with three singles.
Game 3 is Friday night at 7:05. Right-hander Chris Ellis will start for Gwinnett.
