Atlanta United will host Cincinnati on March 7 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in its first home game of the 2020 MLS season. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

It’s the second consecutive season that the Five Stripes will open the league season at home against Cincinnati. The teams tied 1-1 on March 10.

The game will be the second in MLS and fourth across all competitions in Atlanta United’s season.

Atlanta United’s season will open with the Champions League on Feb. 18-20. The return leg of the opening round will be at home Feb. 25-27.

Atlanta United's first game of the MLS season will be at expansion side Nashville on Feb. 29 in Nissan Stadium.

After hosting Cincinnati, if Atlanta United has advanced in the Champions League it will play its first game in the quarterfinals March 10-12. The return legs are March 17-19.

Atlanta United will then play at Chicago in its home opener at Soldier Field on March 21.

The rest of the MLS schedule is reportedly coming out in mid-December.

Cincinnati’s roster includes two former Atlanta United players: fullback Greg Garza, who was acquired in a trade before the 2019 season, and striker Brandon Vazquez, who was acquired in a trade after Nashville selected him in the recent expansion draft.

Cincinnati finished with the fewest points (24) in the league last season, its first. It scored a league-low 31 goals and allowed a league-high 75.
