Atlanta United’s starting 11 against NYCFC in the second leg of the MLS Eastern Conference semifinal at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Atlanta United won the first leg 1-0 at Yankee Stadium:

Goalkeeper Brad Guzan, who finished fifth in the MLS Goalkeeper of the Year voting.

Centerback Miles Robinson, who will make just his fourth start this season. He is in for the injured Jeff Larentowicz. This is a sign that Atlanta United will likely play boot-and-run, instead of trying to build out of the back.

Centerback Michael Parkurst, who was part of a group that held NYCFC to no shots on goal last week.

Centerback Leandro Gonzalez Pirez, who will be tasked with limiting the influence of NYCFC striker David Villa.

Right winback Franco Escobar , who is more of a centerback than wingback, but has the speed to play on the edges.

Left wingback Greg Garza, who played well last week in his first start since returning from shoulder surgery in May.

Defensive midfielder Eric Remedi, who will again try to minimize the influence of NYCFC's Maxi Moralez. Remedi did this very well in last week's 1-0 win.

Defensive midfielder Darlington Nagbe, who will be tasked with being the bridge between defense to offense in starting counterattacks.

Attacking midfielder Julian Gressel, who had 14 assists in the regular season.

Striker Miguel Almiron, on Sunday was named to the MLS Best XI after scoring 12 goals and notching 14 assists.

Striker Josef Martinez, on Sunday was named to the MLS Best XI after leading the league with 31 goals
