My player ratings for Atlanta United following Wednesday’s 7-0 win against New England at Mercedes-Benz Stadium:
Right fullback Anton Walkes, 9: Scored his second goal this season with a shot from a tight angle late in the first half.
Centerback Michael Parkhurst, 9: Really, what’s to complain about? The team matched the largest margin of victory in MLS history and held a team without a shot for the first time in league history.
Centerback Leandro Gonzalez Pirez, 9: Picked up a yellow card in the first half and, because of accumulation, must must Saturday’s game against Orlando City. ... (See comments about Parkhurst).
