Sending Darlington Nagbe to Columbus is expected to be Atlanta United's only activity in the MLS trade window, which closes Wednesday.

The Nagbe trade has yet to be announced by either club. Atlanta United reportedly will receive an undisclosed amount of Allocation Money in return for the 29-year-old midfielder, who was signed through 2020.

Atlanta United is focusing on determining which players it will protect in the expansion draft, which is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Nov. 19.

New clubs Nashville and Inter Miami will select as many as five players each. Once a player is selected, the team that lost the player cannot lose any more players.

Each team is allowed to protect as many as 12 players. Those players who signed Homegrown Contracts or are Generation Adidas are automatically protected. Designated Players are not protected.

The list of unprotected players will be released before 8 p.m. Friday.
