Atlanta United and Brooks Lennon have agreed to a contract that runs through the 2023 MLS season. Terms were not disclosed.

Atlanta United acquired Lennon, 22, in a trade with Real Salt Lake on Dec. 2. He made $242,587 last season, according to Spotrac, on a contract that expired after the 2020 season.

Lennon can play right fullback, or right or left wingback. In three seasons at Real Salt Lake, Lennon appeared in 86 games, making 63 starts. He scored three goals with 10 assists.

Atlanta United will open training camp Jan. 11.

Lennon said last week that he thinks Atlanta United is a perfect fit for his skill set.
