In an expected move, the Hawks announced Friday they have exercised the fourth-year (2022-23) contract options on De’Andre Hunter and Cam Reddish and the third-year (2022-23) option on Onyeka Okongwu.

Hunter took a huge step forward last season, even though a knee injury limited him. He averaged 15 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 29.5 minutes per game, appearing in 23 regular-season games. Although Reddish played in only 26 games last season, hampered by an Achilles injury, he’s a good defender who has flashed potential on offense. Okongwu performed well in the playoffs as a rookie and has shown promise as an athletic defender and rebounder. He is expected to return from shoulder surgery around January.
