ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Hawks officially ruled out Larry Nance Jr. and Vit Krejci with just minutes remaining in Monday’s game against the Magic at the Kia Center.

Nance sustained a right knee injury, while Krejci will miss the rest of the game with a lower back contusion.

The Hawks’ injuries occurred back to back in the fourth quarter.

Nance looked to drive into the paint and knocked knees with Magic forward Franz Wagner. Officials blew the whistle but Nance immediately called for a sub. The veteran guard needed the assistance of Caris LeVert and Trae Young to get to the Hawks bench. Then Clint Capela and Mouhamed Gueye helped him to the locker room.

The Hawks lost Krejci after he received a hard foul from Jonathan Isaacs on the way up for a dunk in transition. Krejci fell to the floor and hit his back hard. He stayed down before rolling onto his side and curling into the fetal position while Hawks’ staff spoke to him. He eventually got to his feet, made the free throw but immediately went to the locker room.

Injuries have hampered the Hawks this season, with Krejci and Nance filling in with major minutes.

The Hawks typically don’t provide injury updates soon after games.
